The Lymphocytes in the Circulating Blood of the Blood Diseases

Abstract
The number of white blood cells, differential counts of the white blood cells, absolute number of lymphocytocytes and the diameters of the lymphocytes were measured in 10 cases of iron deficiency anemia, 10 cases of aplastic anemia and ten healthy college students as normal control and the following results were obtained.
1. Absolute number of lymphocytes was 1, 908 in iron deficiency anemia, 2, 353 in aplastic anemia and 2,452 in normal persons.
2. The differential count percentage of small lymphocytes with diameters less than 7.5 micron made up 28.1% in iron deficiency 29.4% in aplastic anemia and 30.1 % in normal persons. There were no significant difference between iron deficiency anemia, aplastic anemia and normal control.
